Discover the Designer: Ulyana Sergeenko and her debut collection for A/W 2011

I recently discovered the gorgeous creations of Russian designer Ulyana Sergeenko and have fallen hopelessly in love with her designs. Read on to discover more about the designer and explore her stunning collection.

Unlike many fashion designers, Sergeenko did not study fashion design academically (she has a degree in Philology, no less!), but always had a passion for clothes and paid great attention to her personal style. Taking her interest in fashion further, Ulyana Sergeenko has now produced an extensive haute couture collection. The collection is distinctly inspired by vintage and antique fashion, not only in style but in their quality, their craftsmanship and artistic value.

Before attempting her hand at fashion design, Sergeenko was drawn to photography and fashion styling as an outlet for her artistic luminosity, which eventually lead her to create her debut collection.

The collection was presented earlier this year in Moscow and encompassed a total of 34 stunning looks. Each ensemble embraces all the elements of Ulyana Sergeenko’s signature style, from the floor length full skirts and chiffon gowns, the Astrakhan fur coats to the delightfully adorable footwear.
