…and the BAFTA for Best Frock goes to…
Wearing a simple yet stunning midnight blue floor length dress. I absolutely love the tiny fabric covered buttons on one side of the dress and the sleeves – reminds me of dresses from the 1920s and 1930s. Designed by Norwegian designer Nina Skarra who I was pleased to discover, believes in creating sustainable fashion – “instant vintage”: designing clothes that will last … and last and last. You can visit her website and view her beautiful collection here.
Nina Skarra is focusing on sustainable fashion, Every stage in the value chain is addressed, like ecological raw material, non toxic colour processing, fair labour, packaging, shipment, distribution and design for long lasting garments. ninaskarra.com
I love that Nina Skarra’s gorgeous garments are born from stories and characters. Her 2009 collection tells the story of a warrior princess, wilful and strong and determined to achieve her destiny.
